ingredients
1box (16 ounces) penne pasta
2tsp olive oil
1pound ground turkey (85% fat, 15% lean for best flavor)
2tbsp + ½ tsp sea salt (divided)
½tsp oregano
2tsp garlic powder
½tsp ground pepper
½stick butter
½cup milk
1cube chicken bouillon
1can (8 ounces) seasoned tomato sauce
1can (10.5 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup
1½cups Parmesan cheese (divided)
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2
Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
3
Cook the penne pasta in boiling water with 2 tablespoons of sea salt until al dente (about 8–10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
4
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until nearly done. Stir in remaining ½ teaspoon sea salt, oregano, garlic powder, and pepper. Set aside.
5
In a microwave-safe cup, combine butter, milk, and chicken bouillon. Microwave for 60 seconds or until butter melts. Stir until bouillon dissolves completely.
6
In the prepared baking dish, combine cooked pasta, turkey mixture, butter-milk blend, tomato sauce, cheddar cheese soup, and 1 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly.
7
Sprinkle remaining ½ cup Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
8
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
